Elizabeth Dixon

Elizabeth Dixon, LISW-CP is a Project Coordinator with the Institute for Families in Society (IFS) at the University of South Carolina and serves as the Editorial Assistant for the Journal of Child and Family Studies. She earned her Master of Social Work from the University of South Carolina and has experience supporting children and families through clinical practice, community-based services, and research settings.

Prior to joining USC, Elizabeth worked in nonprofit organizations serving children, individuals, and families in Columbia, SC. Her experience includes providing trauma-informed therapy and supervising community-based wraparound services for vulnerable children and their caregivers. In 2021, Elizabeth joined the University of South Carolina's Department of Psychology, where she supported community engagement and research focused on infant development and autism. In 2024, Elizabeth joined the Institute for Families in Society where she enjoys contributing to the research, program implementation, and initiatives promoting evidence-based practices to support children and families across South Carolina.
